I’m a pretty emotional guy and that seeps into my music and lyrics. ‘Disaster’ is no exception to that. I wrote this song as a part of a songwriting challenge where I try to start and finish a song in 77 minutes. This was the first song of the challenge and I have been surprised to see how much people relate to it! Disaster is about the type of person it hurts to love. Someone who’s problems are often self-inflicted and ends up hurting the people around them: even the people that love them the most. I’m really proud of it, especially as I wrote and produced the song by myself in my home studio. I really hope it resonates with you in someway!
